Rento is a Sydney rental-alert service. You message our WhatsApp bot with what you're looking for, and we notify you when a matching rental lists. This page explains what data we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
- Your phone number — so we can send you alerts on WhatsApp.
- Your search criteria — suburbs, budget, bedrooms and bathrooms you tell us.
- Your messages — the conversation you have with the bot, so it remembers context across messages.
- Your email — only if you join our waitlist on the website.
How we use it
- To find new rental listings that match your criteria and alert you.
- To remember your preferences and conversation so the bot is helpful.
- To operate, maintain and improve the service.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
- We don't send you spam — only the alerts and replies you ask for.
Third parties
- WhatsApp (Meta) delivers our messages; your chats are also subject to WhatsApp's own terms and privacy policy.
- Listing data is powered by Domain.
- We use trusted infrastructure providers (e.g. cloud hosting and database) to run the service.
Your choices
- Text STOP any time to pause alerts.
- Ask us to delete your data and we'll remove your profile, search and message history.
